The Blessing and Turn-Over of the newly renovated Room 156 at Ward -11 was held on June 6, 2018 at the Ward-11 and CPS Conference Room, respectively.

 

VMMC Director Dr. Dominador M. Chiong Jr. together with key officials of the hospital spearheaded the event. Also in attendance were the members and officers and wives of the Philippine Military Academy Sandigan Class 1982 Association, Inc. headed by Police Director Elmer Soria.

 

Reverend Father Tota Jaranilla TOC officiated the blessing of room 156 at Ward-11. After the blessing, the attendees proceeded to the CPS Conference Room for the turn-over ceremony.

 

During the turn-over ceremony, Sandigan Class 82 President, PDir Soria expressed his thanks to VMMC management for giving them the opportunity to undertake their pet project. He also acknowledged his Mistahs, the members and officers of Sandigan Class 1982 especially the former Undersecretary for Civil, Veteran and Retirees Affairs Jesus A. Milan, the project coordinator of the said project and Robert Yap for continuously soliciting for the project. He said that the purpose of the project is for the future use of the class. “Pag-nag avail tayo ng medical services here sa VMMC, meron tayong room na magagamit which will be at par with private rooms of exclusive hospitals. Gusto ng Class 82 na comfortable ang room na magagamit sa VMMC.” he declared. He also announced of their plans to renovate another room and donate five more electric fans to VMMC. Likewise, he stated that they will provide one air-conditioning unit and blind to the nurse’s station of Ward-11.

 

On the other hand, VMMC Director Chiong welcomed and conveyed his gratitude to the Sandigan Class 82” First of all, I would like to welcome and thank everyone for coming and joining in the blessing and inauguration of the newly-renovated private room at Ward 11, a very welcome addition to the continuous renovation of our hospital facility as part of our modernization program.” He said.

 

He also assured the guests of the hospital’s unwavering effort to improve its healthcare services “We will continuously find ways to improve our services. We will strive to give the high standards of clinical care and treatment. We will work harder to fulfill our commitment to the veterans to put their needs, expectations and interest first. He added.

 

Afterwards, the Sandigan Class 82 members together with their families were given free one-time pneumonia vaccines. Refreshment was then served after the vaccination.
