The Kick-off ceremony for the renovation of AGFO Suite was held on July 7, 2017 at Ward 21. VMMC Director Dr. Dominador M. Chiong Jr.  and AGFO President Lt. Gen. Edgardo T. Batenga led the ceremonies along with PVAO Administrator Ernesto G. Carolina.

Also in attendance during the ceremony were AGFO officials and some hospital staff.

The AGFO suite, which is expected to be completed later this year, will feature amenities and fixtures at par with hospital suites of private medical facilities. Rooms 310 and 311 will be merged to build the AGFO room.

In his message Dr. Chiong said that the renovation of the AGFO room was made possible through the generous assistance of AGFO. “We welcome all the help or funds source to improve our hospital. Anyone who would like to donate or offer to renovate rooms, everyone is welcome.” He said.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lt. Gen.

Puwede nating sabihin at ipagmalaki  na ang services ng VMMC without a doubt can be compared to the service provided by St. Lukes, Medical City at ibang five star hospital. He added

PVAO Administrator Carolina in his remark said “AGFO officials deserved not only a room, so we are giving them a suite since they led the other veterans being served in the VMMC”

Prior to the ceremony, the AGFO officials had a brief tour of several areas of the hospital.

The renovation of the AGFO Suite will cost around Php 1.2 M and construction work will be under the supervision of the Engineering and Building Management Section.
